Residential Pest Control
A clear starting point for pest problems at home.
Understanding the activity, and what is contributing to it, comes before choosing a treatment.
You do not need to identify the pest first. Tell us what you have noticed, and Great North will help determine the next step.
Find your starting point
What are you dealing with?
Choose the type of activity that most closely matches what you are seeing.

Work through what you noticedWhen pressure keeps returning
Protection that adjusts as pest pressure changes.
When pest activity keeps returning, regular visits provide opportunities to inspect the property, maintain exterior protection, and adjust service as conditions change.
Each visit considers current activity, seasonal pressure, and conditions around the home. The work follows those observations rather than a fixed treatment routine.
Spring
Establish protection as insect activity increases.
Summer
Maintain protection and respond to changing activity.
Fall
Address seasonal pressure before pests move indoors.
Year-round
Inspect for rodent activity and service exterior bait stations.
Service responds to current activity and conditions.
- Regular exterior service
- Exterior treatments, web removal, and rodent monitoring are performed according to the needs of the property and season.
- Included support between visits
- If covered pest activity develops between scheduled services, contact Great North so the problem can be evaluated.
- No fixed treatment routine
- Service decisions are based on observations at the home rather than a fixed checklist of treatments.
Before you request service
A few practical questions.
Pricing, treatment areas, and what happens next.
Can photos and observations help identify the problem?
Describe what you have observed, where it was found, and when the activity occurs. Photos can also help. Great North can use that information to determine whether identification is possible remotely or whether an inspection is needed.
Ask for Identification HelpCan you provide a price before visiting the property?
Many common services can be estimated by phone when enough information is available. More complex problems may require photos or an on-site inspection before the scope and price can be determined accurately.
Does every pest problem require ongoing service?
No. Some problems are well suited to a single targeted service. Ongoing protection is more appropriate when a home experiences recurring seasonal pressure or when the homeowner wants regular exterior pest and rodent monitoring.
Are interior treatments always necessary?
No. The appropriate treatment area depends on the pest, the location of the activity, and the conditions contributing to it. In many situations, the most useful work may be focused outside the home or at a specific interior location rather than throughout the property.
What should I do before contacting Great North?
Avoid cleaning away evidence when practical. Note where the activity occurred, take clear photos, and save a specimen in a sealed container if one is available. These details can make identification and service recommendations more accurate.
What happens after I submit a service request?
Great North will review the information provided and may ask follow-up questions or request photos. When the problem and service needs are reasonably clear, the next step may be an estimate, scheduling a service visit, or recommending an inspection.
