Pricing & Payment

Start with the information you need.

Service pricing and billing answer different questions. Choose a path to see how a price is determined or how an agreed service can be paid.

Pricing

How certain can a service price be?

That depends on how much of the work can be understood before a visit. Many common services can be estimated remotely. Others need photos, more detail, or an inspection before the scope can be priced accurately.

Levels of pricing certainty

The right amount of information, not one rule for every pest.

The amount of information needed varies by situation. Great North may be able to give a firm estimate quickly for one service and need a closer look at another.

Higher certainty

Straightforward to price

Some services can be priced reliably from a small set of details, such as the pest, property type, location, and where activity is occurring.

Often narrowed remotely

A likely scope can be established

Some problems vary, but a conversation and clear photos can often narrow the likely work substantially before anyone visits the property.

More context needed

Scope-dependent pricing

Complex or unclear activity may require additional information or an on-site inspection so the recommendation reflects the actual pest, severity, affected areas, preparation, treatment strategy, and follow-up needs.

What affects the price

Scope is built from what the work requires.

A variable price is not a signal that a service will be expensive. It is a signal that unrelated problems should not be forced into one standard price.

Pest and identification
The correct service begins with knowing, or narrowing down, what is causing the activity.
Severity and affected areas
The extent and location of activity influence the time, materials, and access the work requires.
Property and access
Property size, construction, height, accessibility, and unusual conditions can change the scope.
Service strategy
Preparation, treatment method, monitoring, exclusion, and follow-up needs differ by situation.

Getting a useful estimate

Start with what you know.

Describe what you have observed, where it occurs, the property, and when the activity began. Photos are often useful. Great North can then explain whether the information supports an estimate or whether an inspection is the more accurate next step.

Inspection cost, if any, is established before scheduling. Distance, complexity, scope, and reporting requirements can affect the price; detailed inspections or written reports may cost more. Great North may reduce or waive a charge for a simple inspection at its discretion.

Payment & Billing

Choose when to pay after the service is agreed.

Annual prepayment, monthly billing, and per-service billing change when payment is collected, not how often service visits occur. The schedule does not change the quality, scope, or support described in the written agreement.

Billing schedules

Billing arrangements depend on the service.

Annual prepayment, monthly billing, and per-service arrangements may be available for PestShield and targeted service established as scheduled recurring service. One-time targeted services are not eligible for annual prepayment. Annual prepayment is not currently offered for Commercial service; other Commercial billing terms are agreement-specific.

The example below demonstrates the math only. It is deliberately separated from service pricing.

Annual prepayment

Paid in advance for the service year.

$540 upfront
$600 less an example 10% discount; $60 example savings.

Receives the applicable prepayment discount.

Monthly

Divided into predictable monthly payments.

$50 × 12
Example payments total the regular $600 value.

Payment timing only; no interest or financing charge.

Per service

Collected at billing points stated in the agreement.

$150 × 4
Example billing points total the regular $600 value.

When payment is collected, rather than the agreed service.

Monthly and per-service billing are not financing. They divide the regular service cost without interest, financing charges, or a monthly-payment premium. Annual billing may cost less because the applicable prepayment discount is applied.

Written expectations

The agreement connects the work, price, and payment schedule.

Before service begins, the written agreement documents the accepted work, applicable price, billing schedule, and responsibilities of both parties.

01

Cancellation

You may cancel ongoing service effective the day you request cancellation, with no cancellation fee. Future automatic billing stops then; no further automatic charges occur without your approval. Any existing balance for work already completed remains due.

02

Unused prepayment

Prepayment changes when you pay; it does not lock you in. If service ends early, unused prepaid value is reimbursed after completed service is accounted for at its original discounted pricing. No cancellation penalty is added and the discount is not retroactively removed.

03

At the end of a prepaid term

Annual prepayment does not automatically renew or rebill. Great North contacts you near the end of the prepaid term to confirm whether and how you want to continue. If contact is not established, no additional service is performed.

04

Pausing monthly billing

Customers using monthly billing may pause payments and service together. Routine visits, follow-ups, and other plan benefits are suspended during the pause.

05

Changing schedules

A customer using monthly billing may move to annual prepayment where eligible. At the end of a prepaid term, continuation options may include annual prepayment, monthly billing, or per-service billing, as agreed.

06

Same service standards

Paying monthly does not purchase a smaller service, and paying annually does not purchase better treatment. The agreed scope stays the same.

Quick clarification

Payment questions worth revisiting.

What payment methods are accepted?

Electronic payments through Square are preferred. Cash is currently accepted in the exact amount because Great North does not carry change.

Is monthly billing more expensive?

Monthly billing has no interest, financing charge, or monthly-payment premium. Annual prepayment may receive an applicable discount, while monthly billing divides the regular service cost.

Does pausing payment leave service coverage active?

No. Payments, routine visits, follow-ups, and other plan benefits are suspended together while payments and service are paused.

Where will my exact payment terms appear?

The written service agreement states the accepted scope, exact price, billing schedule, applicable prepayment discount, and payment timing before service begins.
